Slide SHOK-BUFF (flat side first) on recoil spring guide, aligning it with corresponding shape of recoil spring guide, install recoil spring as usual. Reassemble pistol as normal. NOTE: We recommend that you change the SHOK-BUFF every 1,000 rounds with standard loads. SHOK-BUFFS may require replacement more often with hardball or hotter loads.
