Ganley managed to get some surviving WT writers back writing again and to foster a new generation. A genuinely important publication. This issue is also combined with the an issue of Stuart David Schiff's WHISPERS, another pioneering small press publication. The issue is put together like an Ace Double. On one side, it is WEIRDBOOK. On the other, WHISPERS, although the complete table of contents is on the WEIRDBOOK side. This was the final issue of both magazines, although WEIRDBOOK has since been revived by Wildside Press under the editorship of Douglas Draa. The WEIRDBOOK side contains stories by DARRELL SCHWEITZER, BRIAN MCNAUGHTON, JESSICA SALMONSON, ARDATH MAYHAR, JOHN BETANCOURT, etc. Cover by STEPHEN FABIAN. The WHISPERS side contains stories by AVRAM DAVIDSON, DAVID DRAKE, CHET WILLIAMSON, HUGH B. CAVE, JOSEPH PAYNE BRENNAN, and KEN WISMAN. Cover by LEE BROWN COYE.
