Description: This one is kind of a weird one, as Zippo case is in pretty well used condition, with scratches and some of the chrome rubbed off, revealing the brass underneath. Zippo bottom has no date code, logo style and patent are from between 1950 and 1957. Hinge is strong and tight, spot weld left a decent sized mark on the outside, as seen in photos. The catch on the inside is attached like it should be. I'm not sure what it's from or what it indicates, but the inside top of the case is hand-etched "10A". The insert appears to be unfired but dusty? I'm not an expert, but the wick is white and the cotton fluid reservoir is very light colored with no naptha/lighter fluid smell or residue. Insert appears to be a later addition and matches the 1968-1982 style with no patent imprinted on it and 16 chimney holes. The single piece, flip top cardboard box is included and is in great condition. Very minor shelf wear , colors are bright and edges are sharp. Also included is the original glassine bag that had flints inside. Over the years the flints have turned to powder, some of which is inside the box still. This vintage brass Zippo lighter is a must-have for any collector. Made in the United States between 1950 and 1957, this piece is a true gem. With its original single piece box and patent number #2517191, it's a rare find that any tobacciana enthusiast would love to add to their collection. The brand, Zippo, is known for its high-quality and durability, making this lighter a reliable piece for any smoking needs. Don't miss out on the chance to own a piece of history with this vintage Zippo lighter. If you have any questions please let us know! 0381UPSTS
