Description: Antique American Brilliant Cut Leaded Glass Large Centerpiece Bowl Large, heavy thick wall glass bowl just under 11 pounds with slight tapered/curved sides smaller across the top than the bottom. Measures 12" across the bottom, 5.25" tall. I included a short video in an effort to give you an idea of the lovely ring it has, but after listening to it I'm not so sure the sound is coming thru the video as clear and accurate as I hear it. This bowl is unsigned as far as I have ever been able to find. I'm not a collector of American Brilliant, but I've owned this beautiful sparkling piece for a number of years and have enjoyed its beauty thoroughly as a centerpiece bowl. Its sparkling beauty attracted me to it when I originally spied it years ago at a fine estate sale. I've never located any kind of mark or signature. IMO it is in excellent condition as there are no cracks or chips.....none seen, none felt. There are some light scratches, but they are very light and hard to see unless you hold it to strong light and look for them. These may be marks from the original polishing or cutting process and are light or tiny enough I couldn't capture in any photos. There are, in addition, 2 very small completely enclosed bubbles. These are near the slope-bend from the bottom near where the side starts to slope up - I circled them and pointed them out in the last photo. It does not fluoresce green under a black light, but from what I've read that isn't all indicative of antique brilliant cut glass. This very beautiful piece of fine antique hand-cut brilliant glass adds a touch of elegance to any collection. Perfect for all occasions, this decorative bowl will complement any décor and it is sure to impress your guests as it did mine. The gorgeous craftsmanship and patterning give this piece a timeless quality. Whether you're entertaining or simply displaying it in your home, this bowl is sure to be capture attention. Shipping: Very carefully packaged and double-boxed. It will be a heavy, large package around 16 pounds. There isn't a whole lot of difference between USPS Priority or USPS Ground Advantage, so I selected Priority as the preferred. I like to believe a little more care is given, but it will be marked all over as Fragile. You can compare and choose whichever carrier is favorable for your requirements and zip code from your cart check-out page as you like.
