Description: These very cute vintage Native American Zuni turquoise, coral, jet, Mother of Pearl and sterling silver Sun Face earrings with dangle sterling feathers were purchased in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were made by an unknown Zuni artist and have been tested as sterling. These beautiful earrings measure 2 1/2 inches tall and just under 1/2 inch wide .There is a Sun Face on each post and two sterling feathers hanging from each post. The earrings are hand made and weigh 3.5 grams. Fun earrings. The sunface is an ancient symbol in Zuni culture that represents the sacred Sun Father. It's a symbol of life and is often featured in Zuni craftsmanship and jewelry. Zuni jewelry is the most intricate and delicate of Southwestern tribal jewelry. A gift box is included with purchase.
