Vintage 1940 Knit Dress Volup Plus Size Mink Fur With Matching Hat Size M-XL

Description: Beautiful 1940's knit dress in the most lovely shade of soft dove grey. In some light, it looks more beige, and more grey in other lighting. It's such a lovely neutral color. This lovely knit dress features a pointed peter pan collar with corded neck ties complete with silver mink balls at the ends. The bodice is rather simple to the waist with a slightly pleated, classic A line skirt. Elongated short sleeves are trimmed in lush mink. This dress has the original belt and belt loops at the sides. Measurements of garment: Bust: 38”-43” Waist: 32" - 34/36" Hips: 37" - 40"+ (open) Length (top of shoulder to hem): 44.5" Belt length: 35” My measurments for reference in photos are: Bust: 43/44”, Waist 34/36” ( I was wearing a corset) Hips 44” which wasn’t an issue cause skirt is open. There is plenty give to the knit fabric, hence the range in measurements, but because of the age of the knit it shouldn't be stretched too tightly. Please allow for ease of movement and compare measurements and stay within middle to low end of measurements to preserve integrity of the knit. I only wore once for a photoshoot and it fit my curves beautifully! It deserves more love and attention so that’s why I am selling🥲 Condition: Great vintage condition. Dress form photos are previous owners photos and condition has not changed since! There are a few previous tiny holes that are so common with these knit sets. Expect to see very small holes through out, this is a 70+ year old piece and can be very easily fixed with some needle and thread and would not be noticeable because of the nubby texture. I can only upload so many number of photos but tried to include areas that stuck out the most. All imperfections are barely noticeable in person which is great and in the same condition from when I purchased it from another seller. There are a few hand stitched repairs well camouflaged by previous owner. On the back side there are a few tiny previous pin head size brown rust color stains. I am mentioning them to be thorough. I think would lift with cleaning (I have not tried). The mink is soft, and there is no shedding. Mink sleeves are hand sewn by someone in the past and do not expect perfection with vintage. The fur presents gloriously. I also purchased a matching silver mink fur hat at a local antique store and sewn in hair clips to attach to your hair easily which can be removed if need be that is included as a set.
