From the leaflet " 16 years old when she stitched her sampler in 1774...silk floss on linen...alphabet in small and large upper case letters...variety of stitches and bright colors were chosen...bordered on all sides by a twining strawberry vine." Includes two upper case alphabets, one large and one small with several narrow bands separating the lines of alphabets with a border of "twining strawberry vines".Text reads "Rebecca Townsend her Work Made in the Year Of Our Lord 1774 and in the 16th Year of her Age". Stitches include cross, satin, Algerian eye, and backstitches. This is for the chart only, there are no threads, needle, or ground fabric included.But it does include a photo of the original sampler (see last photo), color photo of reproduction sampler (see first photo), directions, thread legend for DMC floss, stitch diagrams, and master graph.
