Description: STK# 241046 REF# BW003 This is a brand new 47-year old watch, part of a lot I purchased out of long-term storage. I have several others available that will be listed individually over the next week. As you will see from the hi res pictures, this watch is perfect in every way, exactly as it came from the factory in 1977. Movement photos are not provided, I will not be the first to break the seal on this watch. This particular Seiko 5 is powered by the Seiko cal. 7019 movement, with 21 jewels, rotor self winding, and Diashock shock protection. It winds, sets and runs as it should, being a new watch. That said, before I would turn this collector's piece into a watch for daily wear, I would have a competent watchmaker clean and oil the movement. The lubricants in this watch are almost a half century old, and while adequate to preserve its condition, fresh oil would be optimal for running it. Or, you may wish to leave the watch as is, for static display in your collection. The watch comes on its original Seiko bracelet, with its factory hang tag, in the plastic bag it was shipped in. These watches were an amazing find, and every Seiko collector should have a new old stock piece in their collection.
