Description: Up for sale is a Jason Lazarus silver gelatin photographic print, “travis gazing at fire”. It’s framed with museum glass, and the print is mounted so that there’s a slight curl to the edges of the print under the glass (I believe intentionally). I suspect that it’s signed, but when I went to confirm the print was specially sealed within the glass and foam, as shown in the last picture, and I didn’t want to take that apart. This image is from a series titled “Orion over Baghdad”. From the artist’s website: “Orion over Baghdad is an archive of titles of images posted by US soldiers serving in the Iraq conflict to their flickr accounts. The texts are digitally printed on acetate to make a negative, and the resulting photogram is made in a darkroom on silver-gelatin fiber paper. The archive includes four vertical panels of text fields each 80×54” and 100 single title pieces each 13×18”. This work debuted at Andrew Rafacz Gallery in 2009...” There are some scratches to the black metal frame. Frame measures 14 1/4” by 19 1/4”, and the print is 13” x 18”. Original auction retail price was $750. Free shipping to the 50 US states. Please, no international shipping (except through the eBay Global Shipping Program). Items are described to the best of my ability, and are sold as-is. I do not accept returns unless I've misdescribed an item. Always happy to provide more pictures or information upon request.
