Description: This collector’s edition is a historical romance novel first published in 1819 and set in England in the 1100s. It was written by Sir Walter Scott and published by the International Collectors Library. I purchased it new about 40 years ago and it has never been read. It is in very good condition (see pics) with a tight spine and contains a matching attached ribbon place marker (pic 5). The book has a deckle edge (pics 7-9) popular in the late 1800s and preferred by many collectors for the more antiquarian and refined look and feel. It has the Louis XVI binding (pics 1&4) used by ICL for significant English novels. The replica binding is in jade green with gilt foil decorations. The book is approximately 8.5 by 5.75 by 1.25 inches and has 425 pages. This copy has outer page discoloration (pics 7-9) and inside the front and back covers there is age/glue stains (pics 11&12). There are minor dents and wear, especially to the book corners and edges (pics 7-9, 13&14). There is a notable wrinkle/dent to both lower book corners (pics 15&16, non-spline corners). Free shipping will be USPS media rate. Please contact me with any questions and thanks for looking!
