Description: Up for your consideration is an IBM Eduquest Fifty with a 486SX CPU installed and an upgrade socket for future upgrades. Everything is clean, working and preconfigured. specs are shown in the photo, however I am selling this with a 4gb compact flash card, not 256mb, with a 2gb partition so you will have lots of storage for future programs and projects. The original IDE hard drive does not work. It is included though. This machine has a compact flash card to function as your C drive. Also on the IDE connector is a CDROM drive. This machine has the possibility for the addition of SCSI devices as well. the CDROM drive works and so does the floppy drive. its been cleaned and lubed. there is a moment hesitation when you push the disk eject button but it does eject. (they all do that). The IDE to compact flash adapter is installed internally but its rigged up kind of poorly. BE CAREFUL pulling out and putting in the card. they make the proper 3d printed brackets to fit this adapter but you'll still have to modify it to fit in the oddly sized slot these machines have. As it is, it is fine, but you can see in the photos I had to get creative. The original slot covers will be included. Also the sound card is garbage. It drove me nuts trying to get the drivers to work. i gave up. It works in adlib mode in games without drivers but i would replace it. It's from a compaq prisario. Included, but its nothing exciting. It's just to get you started with something. It's bracket didn't fit but ill include it. This doesn't reflect poorly on the computer. It's just the sound card i have and its better then nothing for now. the 3com card, however, works great! I've run diagnostics, bench tests, and tested a few games and such. everything works great. you have a clean install of DOS 6.22 with the appropriate drivers, and Windows 3.11. Disks with copies of the original drivers will be included. i have the original video drivers, and SCSI drivers for this machine so those are definitely worth holding onto. The keyboard and mouse are IBM branded. The keyboard is a QuietTouch so it's not your typical catastrophically collapsing buckling spring and actuator, but it feels fine. Not everyone likes to let everyone within 30 yards know that they decided to type now and it matches nicely. Not sure if I forgot to add anything. If you have any questions let me know. This is a great machine. It's an IBM all in one, and it's good. Throw an upgraded cpu in there and it can be great, and to make it instantly a good time its pre-loaded with tons of software. Thanks for looking! Ask me any questions you may have. I do this as a hobby and so I may have to wait to ship until the end of the work week. Please let me know if you would like me to try to get it out by a certain date. I offer free shipping on all my items because it is my philosophy that if you purchase an item, I am responsible for getting it to you safely for whatever that costs. That means however, that I can change handlers and shipping methods based on price. If you have a preference let me know but in my experience, they're all same. I take pride in my packing job and never send an item that I don’t feel is secure. A lot of what I sell, like monitors, are very fragile. The utmost care goes into doing everything I possibly can to make sure you get your item intact. Because of this and the work week, I may not be shipping until the weekend, so please let me know if that wont work for you and I can let you know what I can do. Thanks again, and happy ebaying!
