Of course the best thing about toys like this is playing with them, but it would be crazy to actually use those vintage planes so I began making some by hand. Cutting the balsa profile and the aluminum wing clips was time consuming so I used my experience with 3D printing and CAD design to create this kit using a Guillow's Starfire glider. I think Jim Walker's design is one of the best ready to fly glider designs ever made and I hope that making these gliders available will help introduce a new generation of children to the fun of flying a plane that goes up like a rocket and glides down like a plane.
