Description: DESCRIPTION: A stunning Flow Blue mid-victorian teapot in the “Celtic” pattern (Ca. 1897), made by and with the W. H. Grindley & Co., England maker’s mark and pattern name on the bottom. It has an ornate and paneled body shape, with lots of gold trim and highlights. The lid has its correct teapot vent hole. This pattern features medallions, arch curves, scrolls and leaves along with fish scale designs around the sides. It stands 7 ¼” tall, 9” across from handle to spout, and footed base is 4 ¼” across. A lovely and quite unique English Flow Blue teapot! CONDITION: There are no cracks, hairlines or repairs and just a very small amount of normal crazing from its original kiln firing and a tiny nick on the inside edge of the pot where the lid sits. The glaze finish is very nice and shiny, and the gold highlights are nearly 100% intact. EXCELLENT! SHIPPING/INSURANCE: Insurance has already been included in the listed shipping price and there are no added handling/packaging charges.
