Canadian-born Florence Lawrence, sometimes called "the first movie star", had a talent for both comedy and drama. She made a major contribution to the unrivaled directorial success of "the father of film" D.W. Griffith. Eleven of the films are produced by Biograph Company and directed by D.W. Griffith. "Flo's Discipline" (1912) is produced by the Victor Film Company and is directed by Harry Solter, Florence Lawrence's husband at the time. Please see details below.
