This book examines the techniques involved in mining, cutting and trading in gems - the incredible transformation of precious stones from works of nature to works of art - and the legends associated with such famous stones as the Koh-i-Noor diamond in the British Crown Jewels, the unlucky Hope Diamond and the immense Star of India sapphire. Beautiful color photos. This is in okay condition , the front cover has a large bend and the entire side edge of the book is wrinkled from water damage . The top front of the book has more of a wrinkle then the back and its only about a 2" - 1" area . No mold .International customers , please write for shipping costs .
