Please see the included pictures that show how I had this exhaust system modified to fit my 2000 986 2.7L with a manual 5-speed transmission. Even though Borla says it will “bolt on”, it takes a little modification depending on your transmission. It is an easy installation if you have welding skills, and will only take an exhaust shop about an hour to do a professional job. I ran this exhaust for 2000mi. The sound was excellent, and it made a noticeable increase in power. It even improved gas mileage, as Borla states in their advertisement. Personally, I loved it! Unfortunately, my wife, who often drives our Boxster, liked the "stock" exhaust note better. So, I had it swapped out. Happy wife, happy life… The original cost of this Borla system was $825, so I am listing this item at less than half that price. The tips look great, the mufflers are clean, with no discoloration or scratching. All of the hardware you need will be included. Local pickup/delivery is available in the San Fransisco bay area, and preferred since shipping will be expensive.
