Overall visible sampler size is 11.5” x 15.5”, overall custom frame size is 13.25” x 17.25” with nice diagonal corners measuring 2” on outside, and shadow box depth of 1”. Perforated paper has no obvious fractures, no moisture stains, celluloid image is well attached and undamaged, and only a small dot is seen above the stitched name “Mary”. The stitching is expertly done, no major thread loss or breakage, vibrant colors in thread and image, and ferns are in average old age-related condition. The newish custom gold tone frame feels sturdy but joints have some gaps; glass is in good condition. Back has paper dust cover with beginning tears, and good hanging hardware.
