Description: Up for sale is a Japanese satsuma vase created sometime in the 1920's, decorated with liquid slip moriage dots and a huge raised enamel dragon that wraps around the vase. Dragon fire is accentuated with a reflective metallic substance I couldn't identify, which also shows through in the rear where the glaze is worn through in a tiny spot. Small black mark--which may be writing--on the rim of the base, but I don't know if it has meaning. No other marks, signatures or otherwise. Measurements: 18" tall and 9.23" in diameter (at the thickest round part of the vase)Weight: 6 pounds, 13 ounces Note on shipping: based on your location, I may ship by a different service than the one selected. If you have any standing issues with UPS, USPS, or Fedex, please let me know at the time of purchase.
