It is signed and inscribed by Gwendolyn Brooks to an editor who inscribed book to her mother on first page plus there is a photo of woman who may be one of the editors ( Patricia Brown ). Inscriptions were also made by the late Lerone Bennett historian/ editor at Johnson Publishing Co. and Don L. Lee/ Haki R. Madhubuti writer/ poet. In addition there are 15 signatures/ inscriptions by editors and poets! ** Condition good. Dust jacket is covered by clear plastic and has no writing or stains. There is edge wear from shelving and normal use. Cloth boards are clean, as are pages with no underlining, writing or stains, loose,torn or missing pages.
