Description: 19th C. Native American Tlingit Knife..here listed is a mid to early 1800”s Tlingit knife, close magnified inspection shows hand made tool marks, the stitches used for sheath are some type of organic material, used a small pice to do a burn test, and smell is organic like keratin (nails) and not basic plastic, I’m a secondhand licensed dealer, purchased this many years ago, approx 5 years ago had an art piece sold at heritage auction house and while there I asked to have the knife visual inspected & for their opinion, consignment was offered at a starting price 4/5000$ but decided not to sell at that time..I’ve been a ebay seller for 14years I do not over evaluate my items, im a gemologist and jewelry appraiser by trade for over 25years and know a bit about inspecting and identifying items, please use close up pictures for details..I’m not a professional antique expert, if near by, I encourage and welcome any potential buyers to come in and physically inspect .. please use pictures as part of description, all questions are welcomed and I’m always open to suggestions and professional opinions, thank you
