SOOW is an indoor/outdoor rated portable cable that is resistant to oils, acids, water, cuts, tears and abrasions. S = Hard Service Cord - 600 Volts OO = Oil Resistant Insulation and Outside Jacket W = Weather and Water Resistant Construction Conductors: - Soft drawn annealed stranded bare copper per ASTM B-3. Flexible, bunch stranded per UL 62. A separator may be applied over the conductor. Color Code: Black, White, Red and Green Insulation(UL): - Synthetic rubber. Oil and water resistant per UL 62. Jacket: - Oil Resistant Thermoset (CPE) for use in temperatures from - 40 C to 90 C. Black Jacket Standards(UL): - Meets the UL 62 and CSA requirements for Type SOOW.
