Description: From a Catalina Foothills estate in Tucson is this rather exceptional I believe 1960's or so 12K yellow gold filled link bracelet set with a colorful collection of ten (10) real hardstone scarabs. The carved beetles comprise an aesthetically pleasing mix of banded agate, tiger eye, carnelian, rhodochrosite, and possibly chrysoprase (well, in any case something translucent and green). There are four larger 25x18mm beauties, and three pairs of smaller 12x10mm ones set double row fashion between - meaning no shortage of visual pizazz. There is a clear "1/20 12K.G.F.", and a maker mark to the sturdy box clasp. Weight is good for the form at about 47.2 grams on my portable digital scale. Condition is quite fine with a lovely aura of time to the gold filled surfaces. Be aware I have avoided every urge to refresh or "improve" upon anything - you want that done you do it. The scarabs are all well preserved. The clasp and guard chain work exactly as they should - there is a very small shallow tap near one corner of the clasp top, which I'm mentioning simply so you won't. A look at those pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. About 1 in. (26mm) wide all around - so yes it will definitely be noticed. If you prefer timeless currency over the passing fancy, or simply wish a single immediate improvement to the ambiance of each day, this will have great meaning for you. inkfrog terapeak
